PAIN CONTROL WITH PRO NOX

How PRO-NOX works

The PRO-NOX system uses a pneumatic gas mixer that delivers a 50 percent nitrous oxide and 50 percent oxygen mixture to patients who have pain or anxiety during their treatments. Patients simply inhale the analgesic through a face mask when they feel that they need it, and it starts working within seconds to provide immediate relief. The thing patients love most about PRO-NOX is that they are in control – it is self-administered, and you can adjust how much you use based on how you are feeling during the treatment. The system is easy to use, but we will walk you through how to use it, so you are confident in adjusting your dose.

When it is no longer needed, the gas clears from the patient’s body within a matter of minutes (usually ten minutes or less). That means that you can drive yourself home or back to work after your treatment and then continue with your day as usual, with no downtime or limitations due to the use of the nitrous oxide mixture.

PRO-NOX can be used during any procedure in which the pain and discomfort may affect your experience.

Pronox: A Painless Solution for Cosmetic Procedures at Trillium Clinic

ProNox is a self-administered, patient-controlled analgesia system that delivers a 50/50 mixture of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oxygen to provide relief during medical and cosmetic procedures. Pain control with Pronox offers several key benefits:

Fast-Acting Pain and Anxiety Relief: ProNox Procedure works within minutes. It reduces pain and anxiety by acting as a pain control for laser treatments and other procedures such as injectables, microneedling, and minor surgeries. Patients feel more relaxed and comfortable almost immediately after inhaling the gas.

Patient Control: One of the main advantages of the ProNox procedure is that it is patient-controlled. Patients can administer the gas as needed, which helps them feel empowered and in control of their pain and discomfort levels throughout the procedure.

Quick Recovery: The effects of ProNox medication wear off rapidly once the patient stops inhaling it. Unlike sedation, pain control with ProNox has no lingering drowsiness, allowing patients to return to normal activities almost immediately after the procedure.

Safe and Non-Invasive: ProNox is a non-narcotic, non-invasive option for managing discomfort. It is safe for most patients, has minimal ProNox side effects, and doesn’t require lengthy monitoring after use.

PRO-NOX safety

Our patients’ safety is at the forefront of everything we do at The Trillium Clinic. PRO-NOX has been proven to be safe and effective, uses a non-addictive gas, and has been used for many years globally. In fact, the mixing technology used in PRO-NOX makes it one of the safest nitrous oxide treatment options available. Since it is used through a personal nose mask, it minimizes the chances of infection that can be associated with needle-based numbing agents and is used in a variety of medical settings – including birthing centers, hospitals, and cosmetic dermatology practices.

PRO-NOX nitrous oxide reviews by patients and providers alike are positive because it improves the patient’s experience during their treatment. When the patient is relaxed, they are less likely to be jumpy or jittery during procedures that require precision, such as injectable treatments, which can lead to better end results.

What is the cost of Pronox?

ProNox cost for a procedure typically ranges from $100 to $200 per session depending on the length of the procedure. This fee is usually added to the price of the procedure itself and covers the use of the nitrous oxide system for pain and anxiety relief.

Which Treatments pair effectively with PRONOX?

ProNox medication pairs effectively with a variety of treatments that may cause discomfort or anxiety. It is commonly used as a pain control for laser treatments/laser skin resurfacing, microneedling, CoolSculpting, RF microneedling, and dermal fillers to reduce pain and ease nerves during these minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, ProNox procedure can be used in minor surgical procedures such as mole removal or skin lesion treatments. Its fast-acting, patient-controlled relief allows patients to undergo Pronox for pain free cosmetic treatments with greater comfort and less anxiety, without lingering sedation.

Side effects of Pronox

ProNox anesthesia, a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, is generally safe but can cause some side effects. Common Pronox side effects include dizziness, nausea, and lightheadedness, which usually subside quickly once inhalation stops. Less common effects may include headaches or a mild sense of euphoria. Since the gas wears off quickly, most ProNox side effects are short-lived. In rare cases, excessive or prolonged use of nitrous oxide can lead to oxygen deficiency or over-sedation, but this is uncommon with patient-controlled use. It’s important to ensure the system is used correctly and under proper supervision.
